NABJDigital Covers the 2011 Knight-Batten Awards

The Knight-Batten Awards for Innovations in Journalism were created to reward news and information ideas that significantly enhance opportunities for digital engagement.

A Gee-Whiz Day for Journalism Innovations  »  Blogically Thinking  »  Ideas & Innovation  »  J-Lab

Posted on September 8, 2011 | Blogically Thinking A good 120 people braved heavy rains to attend yesterday’s Knight-Batten Awards for Innovations in Journalism. They were richly rewarded. They saw new engagement ideas, data libraries, plus open-source and social media tools.

I was happy to represent the National Association of Black Journalists’ Digital Journalism Task Force at this year’s awards ceremony, held at the Newseum in Washington, D.C.  The awards are overseen by J-Lab.
