If you’d like to brush up on your skills or develop some new ones, a training opportunity is coming up pretty quickly in Chapel Hill, N.C. Even better, the cost will make your wallet smile.
The School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina along with the North Carolina Press Association are sponsoring a day-long Newspaper Academy. The program is in its ninth year. Registration costs range from $30 to $90 and vary based on whether you’re a member of the North Carolina Press Association and when you register.
Multimedia is one of five training tracks offered during the program, but you can mix and match your tracks. Among the multimedia classes:
- Online newswriting and editing
- Shooting spot news video
- Using social media for profit
